Saving our HOA over a thousand dollars this year, a great big thank you to all these homeowners who pitched in to do the hard work to open our pool. It's a big job that doesn't seem so big with all the help.
Thank you!!!! A great time was had by all at this year's fishing derby. As always, a special thanks to Ray Thornton for the work he puts in to this event. Thanks to everyone who participated and volunteered.
Congratulations to Christian and Charlotte Goddard for being selected for May Yard of the Month. They live at 201 Bristol Court and have lived in Clayton Pond for almost 30 years. Natives of Texas, they have always said that Oklahoma is about as close to home as anyone can get! They are both retired - Christian from HR with Fleming Company food distribution and Charlotte most recently from pharmaceutical sales. They spend lots of time with close friends and family. They have 3 children - Brent lives in Norman; Erin in NW Oklahoma City; and Chris in Sugarland, TX. One of their favorite pastimes is attending their granddaughters' activities. Claire, age 12 enjoys dance and Lauren, age 8 enjoys soccer. Lots of activities for Charlotte and Christian to attend.
Many know Charlotte as Treasurer for the HOA for a number of years. Thanks to Christian and Charlotte for adding beauty and service to Clayton Pond. Regards, Clayton Pond HOA Board Thank you to all who participated and contributed to another successful Easter Egg Hunt in our wonderful neighborhood.
A special thank you to Stephanie Qualls for always facilitating this event and to all who donated eggs and their time for this event. It seems like the sky has opened up! The HOA finished removing dead trees along the first pond and talso on pond 6. It was much needed. We also began the Second Street Landscape Project by removing the trees in the center island. The landscape plans will soon be added to the Clayton Pond HOA website
We had approximately 25 volunteer people there to tackle the HOA projects. Trash cleanup of the Second Street cedar trees, trash cleanup of the ponds, raking the west side of the Second street entrance, cleaning up flower beds on Second street and Sooner road. Wow- what a day!! But it looks so much better. 😀 and finished the day with a cookout at Paul Qualls house for all that worked on cleanup.
Our next project will be getting the pool ready for Memorial Day opening. Congratulations to Karen Lacy who has been awarded April Yard of the Month. She is a third generation Edmond resident and lives at 200 Berkshire. She has a beautiful backyard as well that you can see near pond 5. Karen has lived in Clayton Pond for 23 years and has been kind enough to serve on the HOA Board for the last two years. She continues this year as a board member. One of her goals is to continue investing in the community so the next generation will have the same support, safety, and beautiful surroundings that she has enjoyed. She will retire from ATT soon and plans to spend lots of time traveling - one of her favorite pastimes.
Thanks Karen for contributing to the beauty of Clayton Pond. Christmas Spirit Award! We are so excited to announce that we have our very first winner of the Christmas Spirit Award!
