Congratulations to Jim and Denise (Peabody) Svetgoff. Denise and her late husband, Gary Peabody. bought their house at 108 Berkshire 28 years ago. Jim and Denise married a year and a half ago. Jim is a retired chemist who worked for Baker Hughes, Clariant, and Devon, and was involved in pipeline corrosion in the oil and gas field. Many know Denise, retired from her physical therapy work, as an avid worker in our neighborhood. She has served on the HOA board numerous times, and spends countless hours working in our entry flowerbeds to help beautify Clayton Pond. She decorates the entrances for Christmas holiday season and volunteers for other activities like Octoberfest, Easter Egg hunt and more.
We are lucky to have Jim and Denise as very active residents and their last comment when getting the award is that "they love all of their wonderful friends and neighbors." Thank you both for contributing to the beauty of Clayton Pond. Belatedly, Congratulations to David and Jeanie Gallman, recipients of September Yard of the Month, who live at 4104 Ainsley Ct. Thanks to Mary Piotrowicz for initiating this program. The May Yard of the Month goes to Bob and Kay Brewer who live at 4009 Devon. The Brewers have lived in Clayton Pond for 18 years and one of Bob's favorite past times is working in his yard. His endeavors have certainly paid off. Bob stated that 'God provided the landscape and he just works to do what he can to keep it beautiful.' Thanks Bob and Kay for helping make Clayton Pond an attractive subdivision. We look forward to giving a June award to another deserving neighbor. We hope this will be an inspiration to all to tend to your lawns and outside decor to make Clayton Pond a coveted place to live. Pictures above are Mary Piotrowicz (program coordination), Bob Brewer (May recipient), and Charlotte Goddard (HOA Treasurer). Clayton Pond's Annual Fall Festival was a great success and the weather turned out to be quite nice. The kids had some really fun costumes resulting in tough decisions for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
