Ben McCarley
My name is Ben McCarley and I was born and raised in Dallas, TX. Graduated from Univ of TX-Arlington with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.  I lived in Tampa, FL for a number of years working for various engineering firms. Briefly returned to Dallas, then to OK where I worked for Tinker for 7 years before moving along to the FAA for last 6 years. I have 2 sisters and 1 brother, spread from coast to coast. I have lived in Clayton Pond for 10+ yrs.  Not married and no kids. I play a lot of tennis to keep myself busy. If elected to HOA, I look to bring my broad business and engineering experience in the hopes of continuing the high standards I've seen in our neighborhood for 10+ yrs.

Melissa Grimes
Hello! My name is Melissa Grimes, and my family and I have been proud residents of Clayton Pond since 2021. I am originally from Texas, a military spouse, and a veterinarian. Currently, however, I am serving my family as a stay-at-home mom. This has provided me the opportunity to fulfill volunteer needs on our school’s PTO Board. Prior to moving here, my husband and I prayed for great neighbors as well as friends for our children, and we were overjoyed at the blessing that this neighborhood has been!  I always share with others how great our neighborhood is — the close community, the events throughout the year, it’s beauty — and I have enjoyed helping out wherever I can this past year. Currently I steward our Little Free Library at the clubhouse. I would love to see our community continue to flourish and want to be a part of its success.

Terry Cuthbertson
I’m Terry Cuthbertson. I’m a husband and father, and an unusually young grandfather. My wife is Nina and my three children are Alyssa, Ayla, Ashton and grandson Beckett are his greatest blessing.
I’m also the pastor of Hope City Church in Arcadia, Oklahoma.  I’m a church planter, author, speaker, and entrepreneur. Our family loves living in Clayton pond. We love that the community is family oriented and centered around being good neighbors.

Darlene Rose

Hi.  I am Darlene Rose and I moved to Clayton Pond in 2020 from west Edmond. I recently lived in Ohio and Maryland where I was a member of an HOA board there. I am a RN working at Mercy Hospital and have recently semi-retired,  if you can do that! We chose to move to Clayton Pond because of the ponds, community pool and trees! My boyfriend and I love to walk the neighborhood and visit with people. Being in a beautiful family friendly safe neighborhood is very important to us! I would like to serve on the board to continue to improve our community!

K. Paul Qualls
Currently retired, I have lived in Clayton Pond with my family for 26 years and do not plan on leaving. I have been on the HOA Board a total of 6 times, serving as President once. I look forward to planning out the next year for the neighborhood both favorable and unfavorable.
I spent 35 years with the Oklahoma State Banking Department. I was responsible for the safe conduct and lending practices for all State-chartered banks within the boundaries of our State. I also worked for Nestle Foods for a year covering the western half of the state and the Texas pandhandle. I also served for four years in our nation’s Air Force and not once was the U.S. ever attacked while I was at the helm. I enjoy the outdoors, like to hike, walk, motorcycle and vacation with my wife, Stephanie. We have three children, all grown, and only one residing with us until July when she leaves for medical school.  C'mon July.

Charlotte Goddard
Charlotte Goddard moved to Clayton Pond in 1994. Originally from Texas, she feels that OK is as close to home as her friends and family in Houston. Her first career was a kindergarten teacher in Houston.  After that, she worked for the City of Houston, the Houston Aviation Department, Southwest Airlines in Dallas, and pharmaceutical sales management in OK for 20 years.  She retired in 2018, and her “interests/hobbies” include being “Gram” for two granddaughters (ages 7and 10), family, friends, and neighborhood.
Her most prominent role in the Clayton Pond has been to serve as Treasurer for several years.
This year, Charlotte hopes to inspire neighbors to get more involved and become better acquainted with volunteer activities and the wonderful people in Clayton Pond.

Thank you to all who are interested in serving this great community!

If you would be interested in serving on the board - please text your name and contact information to our HOA nomination committee or at our annual meeting:

Announcing a new addition to our community — a Little Free Library!

We wanted to announce a new addition to our community — a Little Free Library! If you are not familiar with Little Free Library (LFL), they are a nonprofit organization dedicated to building community, inspiring readers, and expanding book access through a global network of
volunteer-led little free libraries. The libraries are designed for taking a book and/or giving a book.

Our LFL was donated by one of our resident families and recently installed at the entrance to our pool. It will be stewarded by that family to ensure it stays clean, appropriate for all ages, and accessible. It is our hope that you enjoy this wonderful addition to our community for many years!

Denise is our Landscape Committee Chair and will oversee this project.
So come on, let your imaginations sail and help make this entrance one that will be the talk of the town!

The deadline for submissions is February 28, 2023.
